I love my closet. It’s a walk-in closet with plenty of space but what I love most is that I do not share it with my husband. I also love organizing and rearranging things and my husband is more of a just toss it in and hope it sticks, kind of guy. I need my own clean, organized space.
Looking straight into my closet, I have hanging: work blazers, sweaters, dresses, skirts, fancier dresses for weddings. On the shelf are all folded sweaters, and scarfs.
To the left, I have hanging: tank tops, t-shirts, and long sleeve shirts.
On the top shelf, folded: color jeans, slacks for work, and blue jeans. I also keep a stack of books, wedding album, a picture of my dad and my Michael Kors Selma Saffiano Satchel in its dust bag.
Underneath my shirts, I recently added this Better Homes and Garden 16 Shoe Organizer which I found at Walmart.
To the right of my closet, I haven’t figured out what to do with the space yet. I have been toying with the idea of either adding more shoe organization or a dresser. For now, I have shoe boxes stacked, I only keep out seasonal shoes. I also keep all my other purses and travel bags. For the most part, its wasted space that could be used much more productively. I will share any future updates I make.
I’m using this green tub to hide Christmas presents in from my girls. Occasionally they will hide in my closet or borrow shoes for dress up but they tend to stay out of the boxes.
Above my coat hook, I added this wooden sign that my younger brother made me when he was in high school. This and my picture of my dad, are small daily reminders that family is the most important thing.
