I think what a person keep on their nightstand says a lot about who they are. What you find useful or meaningful right before you fall asleep or the first things you see and use when you wake are part of an intimate function of your life.
What I keep ON my nightstand:
Bonsai plant – adds a touch of color to our very gray and white room
Pure Enrichment Oil Diffuser – I read that using an oil diffuser helps with migraine relief. I found this cute one at TJ Maxx on clearance for $18 so I figured I would give it a try. I use a mix of peppermint and lavender oil while I sleep.
Books – I often read before bed and always have a stack of books at the ready. It’s also pretty common for me to be reading a few books as the same time.
What I keep IN my nightstand:
Chapstick – nothing worse than raw chapped lips.
Tiger Balm – another natural way to help with my frequent migraines . Tiger Balm is my favorite natural migraine relief, I keep a jar in my nightstand, in my purse and at work. I wish they would sponsor me (wink, wink), I use it so often. I always reach for my Tiger Balm before any pain relief medicine.
Post-its and highlighters – I like to keep on hand for marking quotes and passages in books that I want to re-read at some point or that I love. I keep books that I love. I still have some from middle school. I’m a book nerd.
Headphones & travel phone charger – I didn’t know where else to store them.
